How it is paid

This is a private fee, and there is no Medicare rebate for it. You do not need a referral or a mental health care plan to be seen, so seeing a GP to get one will not change what this costs.

Not knowing which assessment you need, or whether you need one at all, is a normal place to start and not something to sort out before you get in touch. Working that out is part of what gets explained, and it happens before anything is booked or charged.
