ParkSyde Life Pty Ltd ("ParkSyde", "we", "us") provides counselling, NDIS support and community programs.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy describes how we do that. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch — we're happy to explain.
What we collect
We only collect information we reasonably need to help you. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:
- Enquiry details — your name, email, phone number and the message you send us when you reach out.
- Counselling and support information — for people we work with, the personal and health-related information you choose to share so we can provide appropriate care.
- NDIS information — where relevant, details needed to support you under your NDIS plan.
We ask for sensitive information (such as health information) only where it's necessary, and with your consent.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a first conversation.
- To provide, coordinate and improve the counselling, NDIS and community support you ask for.
- To keep appropriate records and meet our professional, legal and safety obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising to you.
This website
This is a simple, static website. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and the site doesn't set cookies to profile you.
When we share information
We treat what you share as confidential. We only disclose personal information where:
- you've asked us to, or given your consent (for example, to coordinate your care);
- it's needed to provide a service you've requested;
- we're required or authorised by law; or
- we reasonably believe it's necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety.
Counselling confidentiality. Conversations with your counsellor are private. There are a small number of limits — for example, where there's a serious risk of harm, or where the law requires disclosure. Your counsellor will talk these through with you.
Keeping it safe
Protecting what you share matters to us as much as anything on this website. In plain terms:
- Encrypted in transit. This site and our systems are served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, so what passes between your device and us is encrypted along the way.
- This public site holds nothing about you. It's a simple, static website — no accounts, no advertising trackers, no profiling cookies, and no personal details stored here.
- Private records sit behind a sign-in. ParkSyde One — the system our team uses for care, appointments and support — requires everyone to sign in and controls what each person can see, so sensitive information is only visible to those who genuinely need it.
- We never sell your information, and we don't use it to advertise to you.
- We keep it only as long as we need it or the law requires, and take reasonable steps to guard it against misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Please also keep your own devices secure when you contact us. And if you ever have a question about how your information is protected, a real person will read it and get back to you — just get in touch.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and request that we correct it if it's wrong. Just contact us and we'll help.
Concerns or complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page.
